Physician Overview – Dr. Darron M. Barrus
Dr. Barrus grew up in God's Country...Iowa. His Undergraduate Studies were completed
at Iowa State University . He then attended the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery
in Des Moines , IA. He completed a surgical residency in Sunny Tuscon, AZ. He then proudly served in the United States Army as the Podiatry Chief at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Dr. Barrus moved to Alabama in 1995 when his Army commitment was fulfilled. He has
been practicing in Alabaster since 1995 and Clanton since 1997.
Dr. Barrus is married with two wonderful children. He and his wife adopted their children in 2006 and 2007. The family also has three highly-energetic Frisbee dogs; The Moo, Seabiscuit and The Edge.
